Our work load is often dictated by the requests we receive for our materials. That means that, at certain times, we face multiple deadlines and they can come very close together. This Spring is one of those times. CSM is currently completing 6 projects, all with print and distribution dates over the next 60 days.
The Maithili project is printed and 1,000 books will be shipped to the Bihar State in northern India before March 31. Distibution of 1,000 books in Haitian Creole will take place April 11-13 in Port-au-Prince. The Tagalog project in the Philippines is due for completion in April. Five thousand (5,000) books will be distributed in Metro Manila this month. By late April, the printing of 50,000 books in Hindi and 2,500 books in English will begin. Distribution of those books in India is scheduled for May. We are also working with church leaders in Turkey to make print copies of the Farsi translation available before June. The eBook version of the Farsi book has been available since early March.
In addition to these projects, we are working with Global Gates to complete a new translation in Bengali. Recent conversations with the translator have been encouraging. We believe that the work should be completed by May 30. We have also begun research on translation requests for two additional languages in west Africa.
We are deeply thankful for the opportunities that these projects present. We are also praying that God will provide the stamina and the resources necessary to bring all of them to completion.
