Ahora nuestros libros hablan español

Over the past several months, Clear and Simple Media has had translators working on the Spanish version of the Travel Guide to the Bible. Last week we received a note from our primary translator, Isai. With great enthusiasm, he informed us that the first draft of the Spanish translation draft is now complete.
Isai is a pastor in California who first came across the Travel Guide at a conference in Florida. After meeting Isai, and learning that he pastored a Spanish speaking congregation, we gave him a set of our books and mentioned that they might be helpful for his church. Within a few weeks, Isai wrote to us and said that this book would be beneficial for his people and that he would try and translate it. He also mentioned that if he had any difficulties, he would ask his daughter for assistance as she is a school teacher.
By April, we had received that first portion of the translation. We have received regular updates and translated portions through the spring, summer, and fall. This past Thursday, October 17, Isai sent the last portion!
There are still several steps in the field-testing process before the book is published. We will be sending the draft to readers in North, Central, South America, and Spain for evaluation. We are excited to know that in a matter of months, a Travel Guide will be available to the 460 million Spanish speakers in the world. (Spanish is the world’s second most spoken language.)
