Helping the Displaced in Burkina Faso

With the most recent attacks in Burkina Faso, Christians must remember that the church around the world is facing persecution. Though not unprecedented, opposition to the Christian Gospel has intensified in some regions of the world. Thousands of people are moving away from the troubled areas to more safe surroundings. In Burkina Faso, some of the leaders who work with CSM are tending to the needs of many of them.

Burkina Faso is not the only African country where the persecution of Christians has increased. In Nigeria, terrorists have killed hundreds of Christians, and thousands have fled their villages.

In the past few years, Clear and Simple Media has been able to do significant work in West Africa. Burkina Faso is one of the first places we have made translations of Simple Truths available as church leaders requested them. Today, the little book is available in English and French, as well as seven tribal languages.

Those on the ground in West Africa tell us that in spite of these troubling events, the gospel is reaching people. The church continues to grow. Many are coming to know Jesus.

It is humbling to know that the books we have put into the hands of the church in Burkina Faso are being useful. Church leaders are using them as a tool to help many of these new believers become grounded in the faith.
