The CSM Network continues to grow

January 29-31, Lee and I attended the Unleash Pastor’s Conference in Orlando, Florida. The conference was attended by over 400 pastors from Converge churches (Baptist General Conference) from all over the United States. While Clear and Simple Media did not have an official presence at the conference, there were many opportunities for conversations with pastors and workers from the US and around the world.
We had taken several copies of our books and samples of the material available on our websites. We were pleased with the results.
Some of the first people we connected with were a group Vietnamese pastors and workers living and ministering in the US. Some of them had heard from friends in Vietnam* about Simple Truths but were pleased to now have access to it. We exchanged stories of our time in Vietnam and were excited to hear how these pastors now plan to use the “little book.”
We also met a missionary pastor working in Germany who works in an international church. We showed him our 15-language bundle of Simple Truths and he took six bundles. He said, “We have all of these languages spoken in our church.” He wanted more but did not have room in his luggage. We assured him that we could provide more when he needed them.
We also met several women who are going to India on a missions’ trip in a few weeks. They were excited that they could take some of the Hindi Simple Truths with them. They hope to be able to present them as gifts to the women they will be ministering to.
The week previous, we had met with a leader who has a growing work in Togo, West Africa. He will be returning to Togo early this summer. He is excited about the French Simple Truths and also about the French translation of the Travel Guide to the Bible. The church in southern Togo is experiencing encouraging growth and these tools will help them.
In addition to workers from North America, several missionaries and international workers also attended the conference. One leader from Senegal, West Africa, ordered 100 Simple Truths in French. They will be distributing the material to the believers in Senegal. They will use the Wolof language translation of Simple Truths, modifying it to fit the dialect spoken in Dakar. They also ordered a case (49) of the Travel Guide to the Bible, 50 Simple Stories, and several English Simple Truths to help with a ministry to African immigrants and refugees in the state of Missouri.
We have written before about how the appetite for our books has grown beyond what we had envisioned. Thank you to all of those who have helped us keep meeting the demand.

*Simple Truths was first translated into Vietnamese in 2006. Subsequent translations were done in several of Vietname’s indigenous langauges (Hre, Bahnar, Steing, H’Mông).
