Surprises in Cincinnati
One of the best things about being involved with this work is the surprises. On a recent trip to the midwestern United States, CSM had one of those.
On October 23, we visited Call of Love ministry north of Cincinnati, OH. Call of Love ministers through a Christian Arabic satellite TV channel to Muslim countries all over the Middle East. One of the exciting features of the work is their ability to do “live chats” with their viewers. While there, we were able to see a portion of a live chat. A viewer was asking questions about how the blood of Christ could be enough to save them from their sins. As we watched, the person responding (from Egypt) answered in Arabic and posted Bible verses to answer the viewer’s question!
In another part of the building, a woman sat in a small cubicle translating the Arabic chats into English. Sarah (not her real name) was originally from Iraq. She was very gracious as we interrupted her and gladly told us her story. She and her family (husband and children) had lived in several countries as refugees. They were trying to obtain refugee status from the UN while living in Syria but had been denied. As they were wondering what next steps to take, she saw a small piece of metal in the dirt. After picking it up, she saw that it was a cross. She told her husband that this was a special sign. Within a short time, they received the news that the UN had granted them refugee status. They were able to travel to the United States and settled in Ohio. Very soon, they met some Christians who told them of Jesus, and within two weeks, they had believed and become Christians. Now she is a vital part of this ministry to those who are seeking Christ.
Clear and Simple Media is engaged in a partnership that will produce new programming for this vital work. We are humbled to think that we can be a small part of this remarkable work.
