Spanish Travel Guide Goes to Press
By Tom Castor | February 16, 2020 | News
We have been looking forward to the completion of the Spanish version of our Travel Guide to the Bible. This past month, we took the last step that will make that book a reality.
Isai Galdamez, our translator, met us at a conference we were attending in Long Beach, California. He had first seen the book one year earlier at a conference in Orlando, Florida. After reading through significant sections of the book over the two days of those meetings, he said, “We have to have this book in Spanish.” So, he launched the translation project a few weeks later.
Isai completed the first draft of the translation in November. We printed several test copies and sent them back to him (and two other readers) for proofreading and copy editing. And last week, we received the edited text and began crafting the final draft.
When we arrived home that next week, we completed the edits, finalized the design, and sent the new books to press On Monday, February 17, 2020; we will have sent the first 200 copies to Isai to use in his network of Spanish-speaking churches in California.
Thank you to those who prayed and gave so generously so that this project could be completed. We sincerely appreciate it.
