For a number of years, Clear and Simple Media has been working in Francophone West Africa. In fact, we have printed and distributed more books in French than in any language other than Hindi (150,000). But, until recently, we had not been targeting French-speaking countries with social media. That is about to change.

For a number of years, we have had a Facebook presence using French at www.unsimplemot.org. But we had not been aggressive at outreach through that site, as we had limited tools to follow up those people who might contact us. Now, with the help of volunteers in multiple French-speaking countries and exponential improvements in AI (Computer-Assisted-Translation), we are ready to take a more aggressive step into the French-speaking world.

Beginning March 15, 2025, we will begin posting new content in French every day until mid-August on our French-focussed Facebook page (Vérité Simple). The content is based on our book, Simple Answers to Not-so-Simple Questions. The posts will be short (under 300 words). And they will target an audience whose French proficiency could be limited. Many people (perhaps most) in Francophone Africa, even though education is delivered in French, speak French as an additional language.

Here is a sample. First, of an English paragraph from those posts. Then, a French translation of the same post as it will appear.

Because God has always been, he is perfect. He needed nothing to be complete. He did not need to learn. He always knew everything there was to know. He did not need to become stronger. He has always had all power. He perfectly controls all things.

Parce que Dieu a toujours été, il est parfait. Il n’avait besoin de rien pour être complet. Il n’a pas eu besoin d’apprendre. Il a toujours su tout ce qu’il y avait à savoir. Il n’avait pas besoin de devenir plus fort. Il a toujours eu tout pouvoir. Il contrôle parfaitement toutes les choses.
