Multiple Translation Projects Near Launch

On May 15, Clear and Simple Media will launch one of its most ambitious projects to date. If the work proceeds as planned, we will complete nine new translations within the next six months.
Our book, Simple Truths, is currently in 37 languages with a print distribution of more than 400,000. The book is continuing to find its way into new places, and requests to provide the book in new languages have increased over the previous twelve months. A developing partnership with a mission using the internet and concentrating on Muslim countries has pushed us to increase the number of languages that are in use in that part of the world.
We have been delighted with the quality of the translations that we have been getting from our new translation partners. All of our field-testing of their latest work has seen excellent results. That has increased our confidence to move ahead and take on these multiple projects. By next week, we will have started work on the Pashto, Urdu, and Punjabi languages. As those translations reach completion, we will initiate new projects in Wolof, Japanese, and Nepali and upgrade our Korean, Oromo, and Amharic translations. All of the translations will pass through three different members of the translation team before they receive final approval. The costs for each project will vary. The complexity of the language and the availability of competent translators impact the prices. On average, a translation will cost close to $1,200 Canadian to complete. If we can finish these nine translations by November, we will be able to begin work to upgrade our Hmong, Burmese, and Karen languages in the early months 2019.
