Clear and Simple Media is pleased to announce the completion of the first draft of the Haitian Creole translation of Simple Truths. Haitian Creole is a French-based “mixed language” with influences of several African languages. Creole was made one of Haiti’s official languages in 1987 and is the first language of about 95 percent of Haitians.

Christianity has had a significant impact in Haiti since the early 1500s. Today up to 90% identifying with some form of the Christian faith with 30-40% associating with evangelical denominations. However, syncretism, voodooism and other animistic practices remain a significant challenge for the church. Once Simple Truths is published, multiple evangelical networks in Haiti intend to use the “little book” to teach new believers and strengthen the understanding of the church.
