From Canada to Mexico, By Way Of California: The “Little Book” Takes A Trip

Clear and Simple Media has produced publications that are now in translation in 45 languages and are in use in at least 40 countries (that we know of). Since the beginning stages of the ministry, we have enjoyed watching how our books get to the places where they eventually end up.
In early February, a missions team from Saskatchewan made a trip to Ensenada, Mexico. This team had traveled to Mexico before, so they had a good idea of what they can take with them that would be most helpful. While in Ensenada, they work with Pastor Sami, a local pastor who does ministry at three drug and alcohol rehabilitation homes. There is one home for men, one for teen boys and one for women.
During these trips, the team members distribute clothing, provide meals, and spend time sharing Christ with those in the program. This year they also took copies of the Spanish translation of our book Simple Truths for the New Believer (Verdades Simples). We sent the books to California, and they were able to pick them up as they traveled from Canada to Mexico.
After they arrived on sight, the team shared the books with the residents in each of the facilities. They were also able to give them to many people they met on the streets. When they returned to Canada, the leader of the team wrote:
“Thank you again for sending the material. It will be a great blessing there. Pastor Sami, the local pastor we are close with, was very thankful as well. Here are some pictures as we distributed clothing and Verdades Simples to the residents.”

Like the farmer in Jesus’ parable (Matthew 13), we want to see the seed (God’s word) spread as broadly possible. It is gratifying to hear stories like these and know how and where that is happening. Please join us in prayer that this seed will land in good soil.
