Farsi Book Goes to Press
By Tom Castor | June 13, 2023 | News

Several months ago, we were contacted by our Iranian friend Ahmad who serves with the House of Omeed. Ahmad founded this ministry that attends to the needs of immigrants and refugees who are settling in British Columbia, Canada. He had requested permission to translate the Travel Guide to the Bible into Farsi. Farsi is the primary language of the people of Iran.
The church in Iran is reportedly one of the fastest-growing in the world. In spite of government persecution and cultural resistance, God is doing a work there. And with the growth of the church, the need to assist churches to develop leaders grows. This is a particular concern of Ahmad’s. He is certain that the Travel Guide will be a significant tool to help in those efforts.
We are pleased to celebrate the completion of the Farsi translation and the printing of the first 500 books. The books were printed in Armenia, a country that will become pivotal in future training efforts.
Here is an excerpt from Ahmad’s email announcing the publication of the first Farsi books.
Hi Tom,
I am happy to report that I arrived in Armenia last night and today I picked up the printed books. It is beautiful. Please see picture attached. Warning! picture taken by a blind person 🙂
Blessings

Continue to pray for Ahmad and the work of the House of Omeed. Pray especially for the new work to train Iranian church leaders. That work is beginning this week.
