The country of Estonia is in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. Estonia has a population of 1.3 million people.  The country shares borders with Latvia and Russia and is just across the Baltic Sea from Finland and Sweden.

Look back into the country’s history and you will find early influences of Christianity. But today, Estonia is considered one of the most atheistic countries in the world. For several decades, missionaries with Converge have been doing work among the people of Estonia. One of those missionaries, Beth Ann Erickson, contacted us recently to explore the possibility of using Clear and Simple Media books in the work she is doing in Tartu. Tartu is Estonia’s second most populated city and home of a large university. Because of the university in Tartu, the city is a hub for youth and university students.

Beth Ann currently serves with an established evangelical church, Kolgata Church, in discipling and developing the next generation of leaders in Estonia. She works full time with youth and young adults in youth camps, cooking groups, and discipling individual youth. Her goal is to see many of these young people mature in Christ and then help them plant churches all over Estonia.  

Because many of the university student’s have an interest in learning English, Beth Ann asked if we could supply her with some materials that could help her use English language learning as a tool to share the gospel. Because we were delighted to help, here is the list of what we sent.
