Conversations About Jesus…in Estonia
Beth Anne Erickson works in Estonia. With the recent crisis that has resulted from the war in the Ukraine, refugees have moved from Poland, through Latvia and Lithuania, then to Estonia. Beth has used our material in English, Ukrainian, and Russian as the ministry she is a part of encounters larger numbers of people moving into the country.
Like all good missionaries, Beth takes the opportunities God brings her way to share Jesus with those around her. Sometimes, she uses things that Clear and Simple Media has produced to do that.
Here is a portion of a note we received from her a few weeks back.
Please pray for our newly hired cleaning lady at the Refuge (ministry outreach center for youth and refugees in Tartu, Estonia). I am able to spend time with her each Wednesday. Today, as she was about to depart, we started talking about her children, church, and Bibles. She cleans this shelf with Bibles (Estonian, Ukrainian, English) each week. We also have Simple Media booklets on the bookshelf. They must have been on her mind. I asked her if she and her children had Bibles and she said that they did not. I gave her an Estonian Bible and an Estonian Children’s Bible, along with Tom Castor’s book Simple Stories (Bible stories for those seeking and interested in learning English). She has been asking to practice her English with me as she cleans. Her face lit up when I told her there was also a web site that allowed her to listen to the stories in English for free. She asked if she could ask more questions next week, after she read them with her children. Please pray for this woman, for more conversations about Jesus, and for her to seek His face!
