Contract negotiations

One of the logistical challenges for a publishing ministry that targets the “have not” countries in the world is providing durable, quality books at the least cost possible. During the month of December, we have been negotiating with OM Books in India. Their printing business in Hyderabad is one of the largest in the country and, because it was founded for the purpose of printing books for missions, they work on very small margins when printing books for ministry causes.

This past week, we received encouraging estimates from OM for the 6 printing projects that we are planning for 2017. We will be printing Simple Truths in Maithili, Haitian Creole, and Farsi. We will also be publishing two new books this year – a Travel Guide to the Bible and God’s Story, Your Story (a shortened “coffee-table” version of Simple Truths that includes 8 languages* in one volume). We are also in the midst working with a church-planting network in India to print and distribute an additional 100,000 Simple Truths in Hindi.
