Clear and Simple Media is pleased to announce that a Bengali translation of Simple Truths is now in process. The translation will serve the church among the 230 million Bengali speakers worldwide. Bengali is spoken in Bangladesh and several northeastern states in India. Bengali is the seventh most spoken native language in the world.
The project is being done in cooperation with Global Gates, a mission that reaches the unreached people of the world through ministry in urban gateway cities. When completed, the translation will first be used and field-tested among the more than 100,000 Bengali speakers in New York City.
The work will be done over the next number of months with field-testing to follow. The project will result in translation in two dialects of Bengali. One translation will utilize the traditional dialect. A second translation will be completed using the dialect most spoken by Muslim Bengali speakers.
