Shoaib has been a friend and avid supporter of Clear & Simple Media since someone first placed a copy of Travel Guide to the Bible into his hand. Through his efforts, the book has been translated into Dari and Pashto, and the entire A Simple Word website is now in both languages.

Shoaib contacted us a few months ago to discuss a new project in which he is involved. He and other Afghan Christian leaders have begun the process of creating the Afghanistan Bible Society in Diaspora. The goal is to support translation and distribution of the Bible in the primary languages spoken in Afghanistan and by the 6.1 million Afghans who are living outside of Afghanistan as refugees.  

Of all the world’s 37.8 million refugees, nearly one in six originates from Afghanistan. Just under 90% of the world’s Afghan refugees live in neighboring Iran or Pakistan. The ABSiD team will build resources to help Afghans engage with the scriptures they produce. To help with that, the ABSiD team has requested permission to use all of the Clear & Simple Media resources in Pashto and Dari.

We were happy to grant that permission.
