Arabic Ministry Website Uses Travel Guide to Encourage Scripture Engagement

One of the great joys of doing what we do is working with ministry leaders who are passionate about what they do. Last week, we shared a FaceTime call with our friends at Call of Love Ministries. Call of Love is an outreach ministry that owns a television station that does outreach to the Arab speaking Muslim world. They also use publications and websites.

During the call, we talked about the recently completed Arabic translation of the Travel Guide to the Bible. They are excited about the various ways they will be able to use it within their ministry. One possibility is to embed the pages of the book on the website for their satellite television station. They have the Arabic Bible on their site for Arabic readers to access. Because many Arab readers have no previous exposure to the Bible’s content, they would place an icon at the beginning of each book of the Bible. The icon would be attached to a link to the corresponding chapter of the Travel Guide. That would give their readers an introduction to that book of the Bible before beginning the Bible reading. The Call of Love leadership is convinced that this will help readers better understand what they are reading. Call of Love currently has 1000 visitors each day to their website.

We were greatly encouraged by our conversation. Through this partnership, we believe that we can help many Arabic speaking people to engage with the Scriptures in a more meaningful way. Please pray that God will use what we have written in this way. Also, pray for the more than 1.6 billion Muslim people in the world (many of them Arab speaking) who do not yet know Jesus.
