Just in case your Burmese is a bit rusty, the headline reads More News from Myanmar.
As our readers know, we have been working on multiple projects in Yangon (the largest city) for some time. The latest was the translation of the Travel Guide to the Bible in Burmese and Mizo-Chin. We announced the publication of one thousand-plus copies of the Chin translation a few weeks ago. Today, we are pleased to announce the publication (and delivery) of the first one thousand copies of the Burmese translation of the book.
Distribution of the Mizo-Chin books has already begun. The Burmese will follow soon.
The success of what we do rests on a host of variables. The most critical is finding (or being found by) a “champion.” A champion is a person in-country with the proper set of gifts and passions, networks and relationships, tenacity and perseverance to take on a big task and see it to completion.
Lai Ro Thang is our “champion” in Myanmar.
Please continue to pray that God will protect his church against forces that are hostile to her in Myanmar.
Pray that, as these books are distributed, they will land in the hands of those who need them and who will use them to disciple others.
And thank God for his continued faithfulness in providing what we need to be able to do what we do.
