God gave John a vision and told him to write what he saw. He would then send his letter to the churches in many places. He wanted them to know what he had seen.

After you read what the book of Revelation is about, you will find some verses to read. These verses will help you understand John. You will see what was important to him.

Revelation

The Book of Revelation speaks of what is to happen in the future. John used many *signs and unusual stories as he wrote the book. Revelation finishes the story that started in Genesis. It tells of a battle between good and evil that will take place on earth. The Lord Jesus wins this battle. John tells us that things will get worse in the world before they get better. But when Jesus returns, he will make all things right again. The book ends with a picture of a new heaven and a new earth.
