The New Testament is a collection of twenty-seven books. All of the books come from the first followers of Jesus. Some of the books take only a few minutes to read. But before you read the books in the New Testament, it helps to know what each book is about.

Here are a few words to help you to read the New Testament book of Philippians. Philippians is one of the books that Paul wrote. Paul was a leader in the early *church. He wrote many letters to help encourage the people of God. Paul wrote more letters than any other of the New Testament writers. The New Testament includes thirteen of those letters.[
After you read what Philippians is about, you will find some verses to read. These verses will help you understand how Paul wrote and what was important to him.
Philippians
The *church in Philippi was a favourite of Paul. He wrote this letter to them from prison in Rome. But even though he is in prison, he has great joy. This friendly letter tells how a Christian can find joy in any situation. He writes to encourage them to follow Jesus in every way.
