1 John

John was one of the first disciples of Jesus. He wrote the Gospel of John. He was a leader in the early church and lived to be an old man. In this letter, he tells people that Jesus was truly a man. He was not only a spirit. He had a body. Many people saw and touched him. Jesus came to save those who believe. John uses words like life, love, and life. He wants to help people know more about Jesus. He wants the people who believe to know how they should live.
